  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Super Information for Anyone Suffering with Hormonal Issues : I wish this book would have been available to me a decade ago! I've suffered from PCOS and thyroid issues from a very young age and began doing my own research online a few years back after winding up in the ER with problems caused from 10+ years on birth control pills. Kate's book includes very enlightening information on why estrogen dominance occurs, the different types of estrogen and how they act in the body, and how to effectively detox the harmful forms of estrogen from your body. For a nerd like me, I really appreciate the way she breaks down this biochemistry at the beginning of the book. Whether or not you're working with a holistic practitioner, the section on supplements is a must-read. I'm willing to try almost anything to relieve my symptoms, and I had no idea that some of the supplements I was taking (like chaste berry/vitex) could be negatively affecting my PCOS. Additionally, this book opened my eyes to information on the MTHFR gene, which I suspect I inherited from my relatives who immigrated to the U.S. from Southern Italy. A few of the small changes I've made after reading this book have made a huge difference for me in my journey to take charge of my health. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2021 )

This book illuminates truths about hormone imbalances (specifically estrogen dominance) that are causing illness, fatigue, and chronic pain. I'm grateful for this book and am looking forward to better hormonal health. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2021 )
